CORAFOAM® High density
Appreciated in all fields related to carving, design, tooling rapid prototyping and modeling, this lines of foams has some unequalled features, such as the great workability with edges precision, the resistance to mechanical stress and the availability in different densities (from 80 to 490 kg/m3).
These characteristics together with their resistance to atmospheric agents and salted air, and to the most of solvents made it possible for these foams to be the first replacement for wood in many applications, among which art, tooling, signage.
Also frequently used for their resistance to mechanical stress in the cryogenic field as supports, whenever it is necessary to join together mechanical resistance and insulating power.
CORAFOAM® U
High density polyurethane boards for precision styling and design works. Density range between 10 and 31 Lbs/ft3. In tooling it has come to replace wood from which it mainly differentiates for its closed cellular structure, that makes it totally workable with any tool and reduces the need for fillers. Particulary used in Tooling, Sign Industry and Composites.
Because of the absence of fibers or granular structure, the surface of CORAFOAM® remains excellently defined and with sharp edges. CORAFOAM® is impermeable to any kind of liquid including water and solvents, and this makes it the perfect material for signs in severe weather conditions or in environments rich of salt; therefore, the choice of densities that DUNA-USA INC offers, allows to create different sizes of signs or simple effects such as letters, 3D relieving and grooving, or add-on's.
